Chapter 4: Concluding remarks

In the introduction, I described the onset of my experiences with trigger finger, one with the ring finger of each hand, beginning with my dominant right hand. I mentioned that from the beginning, I was intrigued by the potential connection between locked digits and gout. After researching trigger finger in depth, I am even more convinced that diet plays a role in creating a susceptibility to this condition.

As I quickly discovered, it's not hard to track down a self-perpetuating cascade of factors that conspire to make Americans some of the unhealthiest, most overweight people on this planet. Consequently, we're suffering from all kinds of health problems that stem directly from what we're eating.
